We sell and ship products to end user customers residing in the Continental US and do not accept orders from dealers, exporters, wholesalers, distributors, or other entities who intend to resell the products and services that are offered on our Site. Magician’s Cottage Subscribers

A Magician’s Cottage Subscriber is an end user (not a dealer, distributor or wholesaler) who completes the “New User Registration” form under the “Membership” tab on the Site. This form asks for a Username and an email address. By submitting (registering) this information to the Magician’s Cottage, you agree to receive, from time to time, emails that contain coupon codes, special product promotions, information on new products, and/or previews or descriptions of products not yet posted on our Site. You may unsubscribe at any time. Should you unsubscribe, you will no longer receive coupon codes. Upon checkout any applicable coupon codes that might apply to items in your cart will not be honored. Coupon Code Redemption

From time to time, Magician’s Cottage will send a Coupon Code to subscribers via email. A Coupon Code is a code, consisting of letters or numbers that subscribers can enter into a “Coupon Code” box or “Promotional Code Box” upon checkout to obtain a discount on a purchase, such as a percentage off purchase, free shipping, or other discount. Is not transferable

Is not retroactive to a previous purchase, regardless of the date and time of that purchase

Product Availability and Price Changes

The Magician’s Cottage maintains a real-time inventory system. However, if there is an error in our inventory database and we cannot supply a product you ordered, we will cancel the order and refund your purchase price in full.
Prices for our products are subject to change without notice. If merchandise is purchased at a discounted rate and later returned when the sales price of that merchandise had increased, the purchaser will receive what was paid for that merchandise. Downloading PDF Instructions for Timepieces and/or Accessories

Our preferred method of distributing instructions for timepiece products & accessories is by having you download them to your device once your order has been accepted. At that time we will email you a ‘passcode’ to download the PDF files you need from our Website “Instructions Link”. Unless you state otherwise under ‘Order Notes’ upon checking out, we will not ship a black/white printed copy with the merchandise. Once your parcel is at the USPS, we will send an email to your PayPal account with the ‘Passcode’ you need to download all the files related to your Timepiece order. After you download these PDF file(s), you may store them on your electronic device and access them for your personal use. Magician’s Cottage prohibits the distribution of our PDF Instructional Files to any third parties unless the merchandise is subsequently sold. Other purposes for distribution violate your acceptance of our Terms of Use. There are benefits of downloading Timepiece/Accessory instructions electronically:

Instructions can be viewed at any time using a variety of electronic devices.
Virtually all instructions, including photographs, are in vivid color; this provides additional clarity when learning an effect.
You can download these files before your product(s) arrive. This gives you an excellent opportunity to become familiar with the effect, modus operandi, patter, and handling techniques.
Purchaser can print instructions when needed, where needed for personal use.
If and when the product is sold, a fresh copy of the instructions can be printed from your device.
Purchaser can reprint instructions for his/her personal use if the original is lost, damaged or destroyed.
If we make a significant update to any set of instructions, we will attempt to reach out to you and send the latest PDF file.
Purchaser may benefit by paying less for initial shipping expenses
Many of the Timepieces and Accessories we produce or assemble have extensive instructions consisting of 2 or more pages. During the packaging process, it is likely that multiple pages will arrive wrinkled and/or folded. Having a PDF file on your device avoids that situation from occurring.

If you decide you want a black/white printed copy instead of one or more PDF file(s) in color, we will include those hard copy instructions in the same parcel containing your product(s). However, by doing so, you waive your right to receive these instructions in a color PDF format in the future. ↑Back to Top

Payment, Order Acceptance and Cancellation

When you commit to buy an item posted to the Site, PayPal processes your payment. By logging into PayPal, you can also pay with a credit card without establishing a PayPal account. The following statements and conditions apply to Order Acceptance and Cancellation.

After payment is made, you will receive an email confirmation. This electronic confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell.
We reserve the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept, decline, or limit your order for any reason, whether or not your PayPal account or credit card has been charged.
If your PayPal account has been charged and your order is canceled, your PayPal account will be credited for the full purchase price.
We reserve the right at any time after receipt of your order, without prior notice to you, to supply less than the quantity of any item that you ordered.
In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to typographical error, we have the right to refuse or cancel any order placed for products or services listed at the incorrect price. We shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such order whether or not the order has been confirmed and your PayPal account charged. If your PayPal account has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, we will issue a credit to your PayPal account in the amount of the charge.
Once an order has been placed, it cannot be canceled unless there were unavoidable shipping delays. Should this occur, we will strive to cancel the order if you request us to do so.
We make every effort to maintain the availability of our Site. However, should we experience technical difficulties, we are not responsible for orders that are delayed or are not processed or accepted.
Magician’s Cottage reserves the right to refuse to execute any transaction with any customer without assigning any reason/s whatsoever.

Shipping and Insurance

The Magician’s Cottage typically uses the USPS or UPS as its courier. Depending on the size and weight of your merchandise, your package will usually be shipped either by First Class mail, Media mail, or by Priority Mail. All parcels are shipped with a tracking number. Some parcels require signature confirmation.

Ordering Multiple Items: When ordering multiple items, we may be able to ship them in one parcel at a lower postage rate. But please understand that not all items can be combined (too big, too heavy, too high risk of damage). We try to provide cost-effective shipping methods. If shipping charges appear to be noticeably higher when checking out, we will credit your PayPal account the difference between ‘actual charges’ and what you paid, less packing and handling costs.

Once your package has been accepted by the courier, the Magician’s Cottage has no control over it. Therefore, we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage caused by any courier used for delivery. Issues with shipments need to be initiated by you to the courier. We can help by providing tracking number and postal receipt. To protect yourself, we encourage you to consider insuring your parcel before submitting an online order. By calling us, we will provide a revised invoice that is adjusted to include insurance.
Expedited Shipping: If you want expedited or next-day delivery service, call us before submitting an online order. By calling us, we will provide a revised invoice that has been adjusted to include expedited delivery.
Shipping Delays: Every effort is made to get your order to our courier within two working days. We will not be responsible for any delay caused by an incorrect shipping address. We only ship to the address given to us by PayPal. Please note that we are unable to ship to a PO Box. Sometimes delivery can be impacted by unforeseen occurrences, which are unavoidable and beyond the control of the Magician’s Cottage. We do our best to ensure prompt delivery; however, we cannot be held liable for late deliveries, or for delays caused by an incorrect shipping address, or by unforeseen occurrences.
“Refused” or “Non-deliverable” Returned Packages: “Refused” or “non-deliverable” returned packages will be treated as non-defective returns and refunded minus a 15% restocking fee and both shipping costs to and back.

Damage to Parcel – Your Responsibilities

Some products are shipped with the request that the courier obtain your signature, or that of your assigned representative, before the parcel is officially released to you. In case of any physical damage to the outer or inner packaging, you agree to either (1) refuse to accept delivery or (2) accept delivery only after putting a suitable remark on the proof of delivery receipt document. Magician’s Cottage retains the right to withhold refund/replacement of the damaged product if you fail to put a note about the nature of damage on the courier’s receipt confirmation slip. If there is any damage to the actual product, you are required to inform the Magician’s Cottage within 24 hours of receipt of the product.↑Back to Top

Product Exchanges

The Magician’s Cottage does not issue store/site credits, or offer product exchanges in lieu of a PayPal credit. So please consider your purchase carefully before ordering. With such a large selection of timepieces and magic apparatus, you’ll likely have questions. To make a smart decision, please take the time to call us and ask. Defective Merchandise

Our precision craftsmen are meticulous making your timepiece and accessories. Before mailing, we check these products for flawless operation. We also check out our magic apparatus in the same manner. In the rare instance your item appears to be faulty, or has a missing part, or appears to be broken, please call us within 10 days upon receipt. We’ll do our best to make things right. If there is a product defect, we will replace the item, or one very similar to it, as soon as possible. The Magician’s Cottage will pay for return postage as well as postage for the replacement. In the event we are unable to find a suitable Timepiece replacement, we will credit your PayPal account for the purchase price including all shipping charges. Magic apparatus, excluding timepieces, are usually in a moderately used or gently used condition, and typically are one-of- a-kind. Since we will seldom have a replacement item in stock, we will credit your PayPal account for the full amount including postage.↑Back to Top

Neodymium Magnet Safety

The neodymium magnets that we sell with many of our Timepiece Accessories are extremely strong. They must be handled with care to avoid personal injury or damage to the magnets or to your Timepiece. The Magician’s Cottage Site urges all buyers of these products to be knowledgeable with the proper handling of neodymium magnets before making a purchase. The purchaser of any accessory or apparatus containing neodymium magnet(s) acknowledges that he/she was made aware on the Magician’s Cottage “Terms of Use” Site about potential hazards and risks related to the handling of neodymium magnet(s) prior to completing the purchase transaction. By purchasing this product, the buyer recognizes these risks and accepts full responsibility and liability in the use of these magnetic prop(s). Magician’s Cottage does not knowingly sell neodymium magnets to anyone under the age of 18. Product Images and Descriptions

We work hard to make product descriptions accurate and complete, but occasionally an error or typo might slip through the cracks. Do keep in mind that product EFFECTS are written from the vantage point of a spectator. We also do our best to photograph a product to accurately reflect its condition and color. Rarely do we photograph the “modus operandi “ of used magic apparatus, although we may choose to do so when photographing or describing accessories in our Timepiece Product Line. (We may also disclose the modus operandi in our video files for Timepiece Products and/or Accessories.) There may be slight color variations for any photograph or video you see in our Site due to the photographic process, and how your device renders/displays colors. Some of the wristwatches photographed on our Site and also used in our Instructions and Videos may look somewhat different from the one you received. Our wristwatch styles may vary just slightly based on vendor inventory. However, our Premier and PRO models have the same functionality as described in t he Site and in our Instructions. In addition, we are careful to ensure that the one you ordered is identical in function and appearance as the one we identify, photograph, and describe on our Site at the time you place your order. Returns & Refunds – Timepiece/Accessory Package Deals

The Magicians Cottage wants everyone to have an exciting and enjoyable shopping experience and to be 100% delighted with the purchase of a Timepiece or a Timepiece/Accessory Package. If a Timepiece product is not a good fit for you, you may return it and all accessories within 15 days of receipt. We will issue a refund for returns provided all of the following conditions and procedures are satisfied. Please read them carefully. If you have questions, please call us for assistance.

The 15 calendar day Return Policy begins one day after the estimated date of delivery of your merchandise. If you have not received your parcel on the estimated date, or the day following, please call us.
Since most ‘Package Deals’ include items specifically chosen by you during ‘check-out’, we are unable to ‘swap out’ or exchange one item for another.
Notify the Magician’s Cottage within 5 (five) calendar days of receipt of your intent to return a product. We will give you an RMA number, which authorizes the return. Please Use the format (below) when returning merchandise.Magician’s Cottage

TIMEPIECE and ALL ACCESSORIES must be returned in the same condition as received, in one single shipment, and shipped from the USA.
Unless indicated otherwise, all Timepieces and related Accessories are sold in “NEW CONDITION”. Timepiece and Accessories must be functional and have no external or internal damage or markings, and be returned in their original packaging.
A full purchase price refund (excluding shipping cost) will be credited to the associated PayPal account within 48 hours of receipt.
The Magician’s Cottage does not issue store/site credits or offer product exchanges, in lieu of a PayPal credit.
At our sole discretion, if the merchandise is not received as described above, one of the following conditions will apply: (a) A refund will not be issued and the Timepiece (and related Accessories) will be returned at the buyers expense. (b) The Magician’s Cottage will credit the associated PayPal account 85% of the purchase price, excluding shipping.
Magician’s Cottage reserves the right to limit the number of customer returns for Timepieces or Timepiece/Accessory Package Deals.
Magician’s Cottage is not accountable for returned merchandise that is damaged in transit or lost by the courier.

Returns and Refunds – Estate Magic Goods – 15% Restocking Fee

Most of our estate magic is used and has had a presence in the marketplace for many years. Amateurs, professionals, and collectors should be quite familiar with these items. Some are rare and highly collectible; their secret (MO) is often unique and something we wish to keep under wraps. Magic in this category is well suited for professionals and collectors.

For these reasons, as well as PayPal/credit card fees and restocking costs, purchasers returning estate magic will be charged a 15% restocking fee based on the original purchase price. Before returning a product, call us within 5 calendar days of receipt. We will give you a RMA number that authorizes the transaction. Then return the merchandise within 15 days of receipt and in the same condition as you received it, and in its original packaging. Upon receipt, we’ll credit the associated PayPal account within 48 hours. The credit will be for 85% of the purchase price, less initial shipping and return shipping charges. For your protection, we encourage you to insure the parcel and that you use a courier requiring a signature confirmation from us upon delivery.

The 15 calendar day Return Policy begins one day after the estimated date of delivery of your merchandise. If you have not received your parcel on the estimated date, or the day following, please call us.

Other Conditions Governing the Return of Estate Magic Goods

MAGICIAN’S COTTAGE DOES NOT ACCEPT RETURNED PRODUCTS WITHOUT A VALID RMA NUMBER NOTED ON THE ADDRESS LABEL.
Merchandise is to be returned in one single shipment, and shipped from the United States.
Product accessories must also be returned in their original condition and packaging.
At our sole discretion, if a returned item is not received in the same condition as it was sent, a refund will not be issued. The merchandise will be returned to the buyer, with the buyer paying for return shipping and insurance. If an item(s) is returned to the buyer, Magician’s Cottage is not accountable for returned merchandise that is damaged in transit or lost by the courier. For the buyer’s protection, we recommend the use of a “signature required” courier and have the merchandise fully insured.
Magician’s Cottage reserves the right to limit the number of customer returns.
